Inlaid with Gold, Silver & Brass !! [ Shakudo ] This Kozuka is made of Shakudo (alloy of copper and gold). [ Nanako-Ji ]
The surface is processed like hard roe. [ Takabori ] The Tsuru bird (crane) and Kiku flowers are expressed in high-relief carving. 
[ Iroe ] The Tsuru's face, legs and Kiku flowers are also expressed in Iroe technique. Iroe is highly advanced inlay technique. 
Braze very thin golden sheet on a material. [ Zogan ] It is inlaid with silver and brass (alloy of copper and zinc). 
Kozuka is a utility knife which is usually inserted in a pocket on a scabbard. A Kozuka consists of Hitsu (handle) and Ho (blade).
